Considering that Law no. 11/2011, of April 26, as amended by Decree-Law no. 26/2013, of February 19, on the legal regime for access to and continuance in the activity of technical inspection of motor vehicles and their trailers, establishes in article 21(1) that the tariffs for inspections and re-inspections are defined by order of the members of the Government responsible for the areas of finance and transport.

Considering that Ministerial Order no. 378-A/2013, of December 31, which regulated the aforementioned article 21(1), establishes in article 2(3) that as of January 1, 2015, the tariffs will be updated annually in accordance with the inflation rate measured by the Total Consumer Price Index (without housing) - average annual variation rate by reference to the last month available, published by the National Statistics Institute, IP (INE, IP). Considering that, according to INE's latest update of December 14, 2020, referring to November 2020, of the "Consumer Price Index", the annual measured rate of change (without housing) was set at - 0.04 %.

The Board of Directors of the Instituto da Mobilidade e dos Transportes, IP, pursuant to article 21(1) of Law no. 11/2011, of April 26, as amended by Decree-Law no. 26/2013, of February 19, as well as article 6(2)(c) of Decree-Law no. 236/2012, of October 31, as amended. Pursuant to Article 6(2)(c) of Decree-Law no. 236/2012, of October 31, as amended, it is hereby decided that the fees for technical vehicle inspections to be in force for 2021 are those set out in the Annex to this Decision.

This Decision shall enter into force on January 1, 2021.
